James YuillTurning Down Water For Air
Moshi Moshi
October 13th
This is the debut album by the London based artist. Every so often there is a solo artist who grabs your attention for the right reasons. Like Tom Vek before him, Yuill is an exciting new British artist who doesn’t rely on hype and celebrity connections.Acousticy folk meets laptop beats in this unique vision. Post Kid A Radiohead and folktronica in a weird pop mix. It is a good album but it does lack a change in pace and feels abit samey at times and would benefit from a standout dance track to bring variation to the album.
